Basket Planner

This is our projection of when each variety of vegetable will be in season and the quantity a full share will receive each week they are available. Not every vegetable is available every week in the months they are listed. We make a conscious effort to mix and match available vegetables (especially in the winter) to keep your weekly basket interesting.  Of course, weather and other conditions may increase, delay, or decrease our planned harvest. Remember, each week we send along recipes tailored to the contents of your basket to help with the less common vegetables.

June:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. new potatoes

  • 1 bok choy or 1 cabbage
  • 2 heads of broccoli
  • 1-2 heads of lettuce or 3/4 lb salad mix
  • ¾-1 lb. snap peas
  • 1 bunch of radishes or scallions
  • ½ lb. of spinach or other greens
  • 4-6 turnips or 3 kohlrabi

July-August:

  • 1 bunch of basil or other herbs
  • 1 lb. of beans or ¾-1 lb. snow peas
  • 8 carrots or 2 beets
  • 6 ears of corn or 1½ lbs. of new potatoes
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1-2 heads of lettuce
  • 2 sweet peppers
  • 2-3 onions
  • 1½ lbs.of summer squash
  • 3 lbs. of tomatoes
  • 2 pints of cherry tomatoes

Sept-Oct:

  • 1 lb. of beans
  • 2 heads of broccoli or 1 cabbage
  • 8 carrots

  • 1-2 heads of lettuce
  • 2-3 onions
  • 2 lbs. of potatoes

  • 2 pints of cherry tomatoes

Nov-Dec:

  • 1 cauliflower or 1 celeriac (celery root)
  • 1 head of garlic

  • 1 celeriac (celery root) or 1 parsnip
  • 2 leeks or 2-3 onions
  • 1 bunch of mustard greens or Swiss chard

  • ½ lb. salad mix
  • 1 winter squash or 1 rutabaga

March-May:

  • 1 bok choy or 1 cabbage or 1 bag cooking greens
  • 1 cauliflower or ½ lb. of purple sprouting broccoli
